Overview

Provision of Coal Chute Optimization at Medupi Power Station. Eskom invites expressions of interest from professional engineering/consulting firms with coal handling and bulk materials handling expertise to optimise coal chute systems at Medupi, with CIDB registration and B-BBEE and related compliance.

Requirements

• CIDB registration valid for the contract scope (proof at submission; CIDB printout by award) (Eskom Standard Conditions of Tender).
• Proof of B-BBEE level (CSD or certificate) at tender closing; PPPFA scoring applicable; zero if not provided (Eskom Standard Conditions).
• SD&L Undertaking fully completed and submitted by contract award (Tender returnable).
• Integrity Declaration Form (Annexure D) fully completed and submitted with tender returnables.
• Attendance at compulsory site visit/clarification meeting (as stated in Tender Data).
• Evidence of SHEQ capabilities and policies; compliance where applicable (Eskom SHEQ).
• Tender to be submitted as original plus one hard copy, sealed, in English; include mandatory returnables and any required clarifications as per pricing/evaluation rules.
• Compliance with NT instructions, CIDB, PPPFA, and related regulatory requirements; provide required documentation during evaluation (e.g., CIDB, B-BBEE, SD&L, etc.).

• Submission deadline: 13 October 2026 at 08:00.
• Submission method: electronically via the Eskom eTendering portal (TenderBulletin/eTendering). See Eskom eTendering System User Manual for process details; attach required documents via the portal (and provide the original hard copy if required by Tender Data) (eTendering documents).

  • Integrity Declaration Form (Annexure D) and table of shareholding/beneficiaries.

  • CIDB registration proof and, if applicable, CIDB printout by award.
  • B-BBEE documentation as required.
  • Labour Taxation Questionnaire.

• Pre-qualifications/registrations: CIDB; CSD; and applicable regulatory registrations; tax clearance where required by NT instructions (as per Standard Conditions).
