Overview

KENYA DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION seeks proposals for consultancy services to provide strategic advisory support on equity investment structuring, transaction pipeline development, and institutional capability strengthening. Bidders should be capable consulting firms with expertise in corporate finance, equity structuring, deal origination, and institutional capacity building, and must comply with Kenyan procurement laws and PPRA requirements.

Requirements

• Experience in equity investment structuring, transaction pipeline development, and institutional capability strengthening.
• Ability to operate under the Kenyan public procurement framework, including PPRA compliance.
• Key Experts must come from eligible countries; joint ventures (if any) must conform to Data Sheet JV limits.
• No conflicts of interest; disclosure required; no involvement in corrupt, fraudulent, or collusive practices.
• Tax compliance and other local statutory requirements (Kenya) must be met.
• Sub-consultants and team members must be eligible; indemnities and independence considerations apply.
• If a Joint Venture is formed, the lead member and all members must be disclosed; exemptions may be required for competition rules.

• Submission method: sealed proposals by mail or hand delivery (no online/e-procurement) to KDC; include separate envelopes for Technical and Financial Proposals.

  • Inner Envelope 1 (Technical): Power of Attorney; TECH-1 through TECH-7.
  • Inner Envelope 2 (Financial): FIN-1; FIN-2.

  • All proposals must be submitted as originals with copies; clearly marked as CONFIDENTIAL.
• Required registrations/pre-qualifications: tax compliance certificate; eligibility checks (PPRA debarment status); no public-official conflicts of interest.
