Overview

Provision of Electrical Engineering Services to SANParks Regions for a period of 3 years. Eligible bidders are electrical engineering consultancies with ECSA-registered engineers, offices in the identified SANParks regions, and the capacity to bid per region (separate tenders per region: Kruger, Cape and Garden Route, Frontier, Northern, Arid). Key scope includes HV/LV cabling, transformers, generators, solar/hybrid, and lighting, with regional staffing requirements and travel allowances.

Requirements

• Eligibility: registered company (Companies Act 2008/Close Corporation Act 1984) or partnership with continuity arrangement; comply with tender data.
• Functionality: minimum 70/100 points; demonstrates experience, green design, references, and capacity.
• Personnel: Engineer and Engineering Technologist must be ECSA-registered for each region bid; minimum staff per region; second professional with post‑registration experience.
• Regional offices & travel: dedicated offices in each region; accept specified maximum travel distances/times (e.g., Kruger 300km/3hrs; others up to 500km/5hrs); bidder must accept travel allowances.
• Pricing & goals: Costs not to exceed R50 million (VAT inclusive) over 3 years; 80/20 price/BBBEE scoring; max 30% discount on professional fees; BBBEE points for ownership and EMEs/QSEs.
• References: at least 2 letters (up to 5); portfolio of relevant electrical design work (HV/LV, transformers, generators, solar, lighting).
• Registrations & docs: SARS Tax Clearance PIN, CSD registration, proof of ECSA registration, CIDB/Company docs, pricing schedule, latest financials for EME/QSE; JV documents if applicable.
• Submission validity: bids valid for 150 days.
