Overview

Provision of General Insurance of Assets, Group Personal Accident and WIBA for Tourism Fund staff for a 12-month period (renewable once). Tourism Fund invites open national tenders (TF/01/2026/2027) for general insurance services covering assets, GPA and WIBA. Tender submissions close 14 September 2026 around 12:00 noon East Africa Time. Bid documents are available free from www.tourismfund.co.ke or www.tenders.go.ke.

Requirements

• Tenderer eligibility: no JV participation (maximum one member per tender), no debarment, and compliance with public-procurement rules.
• Mandatory documents: Form of Tender, completed schedules, power of attorney authorization, tender security, and all documentary evidence of qualifications.
• Tender security: Kenya Shillings 250,000, valid for 217 days from tender opening (bank guarantee, cash, or other approved security).
• Currency and pricing: prices in Kenya Shillings; no price adjustments during execution unless specified; all duties/taxes as of 28 days before deadline included.
• Contract scope and duration: 12 months, renewable once; performance-based renewal.
• Other: insurance providers must consider IRA registration at contract award; tax compliance evidence requested; transparency and anti-corruption declarations required.

How to Apply

• Obtain documents: free from www.tourismfund.co.ke or www.tenders.go.ke; notify the Fund at procurement@tourismfund.co.ke upon download.
• Submission: hard-copy bids only; deliver Original and Copies in separate sealed envelopes to Tourism Fund, Valley Road, 6th Floor (Supply Chain), or place in the Tender Box at Reception, 6th Floor. Mark envelopes with tender ID TF/01/2026/2027; no electronic submission.
• Deadlines: tenders must be received by 14 September 2026 at 12:00 noon East Africa Time.
• Required contents: Form of Tender, priced Activity Schedule, tender security, authorization, qualifications, eligibility, conformity, and any addenda or clarifications.
• Clarifications and addenda: requests in writing to procurement@tourismfund.co.ke; responses and addenda published on the Fund’s site.
• Site/briefing: site visits or pre-tender meetings may be arranged; any details published via addenda on the Fund’s website.
• Evaluation: preliminary responsiveness, technical evaluation (for underwriters), and financial evaluation; award to the Lowest Evaluated Tender with conformance to all criteria. Standstill period of 14 days applies after notification of intention to award.
