Overview

Provision of Group Medical Insurance Cover for the staff of the County Assembly of Kiambu. Open to qualified insurance providers registered by the Insurance Regulatory Authority (IRA); joint ventures allowed with each member jointly and severally liable; tax compliance and other regulatory requirements as per ITT 4 and ITT 18.

Requirements

• IRA-registered insurance service providers eligible to tender.
• Joint ventures allowed with joint and several liability.
• Tender security of Kshs.500,000, valid for 150 days from tender opening.
• Tenders must be submitted on IFMIS; public opening.
• Kenyan tax compliance certificate (KRA).
• Compliance with anti-corruption and competition rules (Certificate of Independent Tender Determination) and related eligibility/qualification criteria.

How to Apply

• Obtain tender documents electronically free from www.kiambuassembly.go.ke or www.tenders.go.ke (download; provide particulars to info@kiambuassembly.go.ke for clarifications).
• Submission method: electronic submission via IFMIS; deadline 03 November 2026 at 09:00 (and possible extensions via addenda).
• Documents to submit: Form of Tender and Schedule of Requirements, Tender Security or Declaration, Authorization, Qualifications/Eeligibility evidence, conformity proofs, sample Insurance Policy for each type, and any other TDS-required documents (as per Tender Document).
• Required registrations: IRA registration for the contract; tax compliance certificate; JV arrangements if any.
• Clarifications/briefings: raise in writing; responses published to tender documents; pre-tender site/meeting details as per TDS (if any).
