Overview

Provision of Group Personal Accident and Work Injury Benefit (WIBA) Insurance Cover to Equalization Fund staff. Open tender for a one-year contract (renewal option subject to performance) with insurance providers registered by the Insurance Regulatory Authority (IRA) eligible to bid; covers EFAB staff.

Requirements

• Insurance provider must be registered with the Insurance Regulatory Authority (IRA) to tender and sign contracts (contract award requires IRA registration).
• Tender security: 2% of the quoted amount, in the form of bank guarantee, bank draft, or insurance guarantee from an approved insurer (PPRA-listed) (TENDER DOCUMENT).
• Submit a draft policy for each insurance type required, aligned with tender terms (TENDER DOCUMENT).
• Provide evidence of tax compliance (current Tax Compliance Certificate from KRA) (TDS ITT 4.12).
• No conflicts of interest; comply with anti-corruption, competition, and disclosure requirements (TENDER DOCUMENT).
• Joint ventures allowed; all members jointly and severally liable; representative authorized to act on behalf of JV (TDS ITT 4.1) (TENDER DOCUMENT).
• Currency: Kenya Shillings; tender prices fixed (no price adjustments during contract) as per TDS (TDS ITT 15.5).
• Pre-qualification not undertaken; tender must meet the Section III criteria (TDS ITT 18.3).
• Duration: insurance for one year, with possible renewal for another year on satisfactory performance (TDS ITT 2.2).

• Submission deadline: 2 October 2026 at 11:00 AM (TENDER DOCUMENT); late tenders will be rejected.
• Submission method: hard-copy, sealed envelope system with an inner “ORIGINAL” and “COPIES” envelopes; submitted to Head of Supply Chain Management, 8th Floor, National Bank Building, Harambee Avenue, Nairobi (TENDER DOCUMENT).
