Overview

The UUW invites bids for the Provision of Guarding Security Services to Umngeni-Uthukela Water Sites at South Central Region for a period of five years. Suitable bidders are security service providers with Kwa-Zulu Natal presence, PSIRA registration, relevant NKP accreditation or ability to tender NKP sites, and capacity to meet B-BBEE and Local/Municipal participation requirements.

Requirements

• SBD4 Bid Disclosure completed and signed
• Attendance at the compulsory briefing session
• Located in Kwa-Zulu Natal (proof of address)
• Commitment to Contract Participation Goals (CPG) including 25% local area and 10% local participation
• COID Act good standing letter
• PSIRA certificate for the company
• UIF/EMP201 contributions and SARS registrations evidence
• Affinity Health proof of latest contributions
• NKP accreditation certificate or a valid Letter to Tender (if NKP accreditation not available)
• Firearms licenses and other regulatory licenses as applicable; proof to be provided during Stage 2
• Insurance: Public Liability (min R10,000,000) and Professional Indemnity (min R5,000,000)
• Submissions must follow CIDB standards; pricing and performance criteria apply

Stage 2 (Functionality) adds: tenderer’s experience, key personnel qualifications (Area Security Manager, Security Supervisors, CCTV Operators), site/control room capability, and evidence of resources (e.g., vehicles, equipment). Stage 3 combines price with preference points (90/10).
