Overview

Procurement of HVAC Electrical and Control System maintenance/installation services for OR Tambo International Airport for six months. Eligible bidders should hold a CIDB grading of 4EP or higher and have expertise in HVAC centralised equipment (AHUs/FCUs/chillers), electrical distribution, control systems (PLC/SCADA) and related maintenance. The contract uses NEC3 Term Service Contract with fixed pricing and performance-based requirements.

Requirements

• CIDB contractor grading 4EP or higher. (T1.1)
• Tax and supplier pre-qualification: SARS PIN/TCS or CSD number; separate TCS for JV/subcontractors; proof of authority where applicable.
• Insurance: Employer and contractor insurances per the contract data; contractor to provide Professional Indemnity; to maintain a performance bond; bond validity extended to end of service if needed.
• Compliance: PPPFA/BBEE requirements; provide valid B-BBEE evidence; proof required for specific goals (e.g., black ownership/women ownership where applicable).
• Documentation: Complete and sign Form of Offer and Acceptance; Schedule of Deviations; returnable documents; provide 1 Original + 1 Copy + electronic copy; evidence of authority.
• Functionality: Pass threshold (e.g., 75/100) based on resource proposal, personnel qualifications, years’ experience, and client references; include CVs and at least two reference letters for similar HVAC maintenance work.
• Pricing/Contract terms: Fixed pricing for the service period; adherence to NEC3 terms and service information; no price adjustments unless stated.
