Overview

Procurement of incremental civil works to informal settlements in Amawoti Geneva (Ward 57): access roads, footpaths and associated stormwater control. Suitable for CIDB 3 CE contractors or higher with experience in road/footpath and stormwater works. Bidders must be registered on the National Treasury Central Supplier Database (CSD) and the eThekwini Municipality Supplier Portal, and attend the compulsory clarification meeting.

Requirements

• CIDB contractor grading designation of 3 CE (or higher).
• Registration on the National Treasury CSD and the eThekwini Supplier Portal (prior to submission).
• Compulsory Clarification Meeting and site visit (Ottawa Community Hall, 20 Oct 2026; questions answered online 23 Oct 2026).
• Compliance and registrations: valid CIDB status, B-BBEE, Tax Compliance PINs; no undisputed municipal debt; Compulsory Enterprise Questionnaire; JV docs if applicable.
• Returnable documents: contracts/awards history, Audited Financial Statements if >R10m, and municipal rates declaration.
• Tender validity: 12 months.
• Evaluation: 80/20 Price Preference per SCM Policy.
• Tender submission: both hard copy (to Durban Tender Box) and electronic via JDE ESP; hard copy is the ruling version.
• Not part of any Targeted Development Programme (PE status not applicable).
