Provision of Incremental Services to Informal Settlements in Ward 107 (Shembe Ekuphakameni): Footpaths, roads and associated stormwater control. A Construction Tender by eThekwini Municipality for 18 weeks, targeting civil engineering contractors with CIDB Grade 3 CE (or higher). Compulsory Clarification Meeting at Ottawa Community Hall (20 Oct 2026, 09:00) with a site visit to follow.

Requirements

• CIDB contractor grading designation of 3 CE (or higher).
• Registration on the eThekwini Supplier Portal; register before submitting tenders.
• CIDB/BBEE/Tax clearances must be valid at tender closing and verified via CSD; complete Compulsory Enterprise Questionnaire.
• Audited financial statements if tender value exceeds R10 million (incl. VAT).
• No undisputed municipal rates/taxes; provided if arrears exist but offset via formal agreement.
• Tender validity: twelve (12) months; municipality may request confirmation during the period.
• Joint ventures: each party must provide separate Tax PINs; JV agreements required.
• Submissions via hard copy (tender box) and electronic JDE ESP module; hard copy submission is required for validity.
• Mandatory briefings and questions: questions due by date published in the tender data; clarifications posted online.
