Overview

Provision of maintenance and servicing of IHLM backup generators for a period of two years. This open-tender invites qualified service providers with mechanical/electrical engineering capability to maintain standby generators for Ingquza Hill Local Municipality (CIDB grade 1 ME; 24-hour emergency response). Requirements

• CIDB: grade 1 ME; proof of CIDB registration.
• Registration and compliance: valid full CSD registration; SARS Tax Compliance Status (TCS) PIN; Tax clearance requirements.
• Declarations: completed and signed MBD 1–9; Declaration of Interest (MBD4); Independent Bid Determination (MBD9).
• Local content: MBD6 declarations and supporting Annexes (local content thresholds and associated documentation).
• Technical qualifications: demonstrated mechanical and electrical engineering expertise; qualified mechanical/electrical technicians (NDs or Trade qualifications) aligned with generator maintenance.
• Operational requirements: 24-hour emergency response readiness; scheduled preventative maintenance per generator manufacturer’s manual; adherence to on-site work hours; ability to provision spare parts and possible generator hire for major breakdowns.
• Contract/price terms: pricing schedules must be firm (MBD3); 90-day tender validity; ability to sign a binding contract (MBD7.1).
