PROVISION OF MATERIALS AND CONSTRUCTION OF TEMPORARY EMERGENCY HOUSING STRUCTURES (9m², 15m² & 24m²) FOR A PERIOD UNTIL 30 JUNE 2029. This is a construction tender for supplying materials and building temporary emergency housing units, targeted at qualified construction contractors with CIDB GB registration (estimated 1GB or higher). Bidders should be CIDB-registered, on Drakenstein’s supplier database, and will be evaluated under an 80/20 preference system with a 70% functionality threshold.

Requirements

• CIDB registration in GB class; grading designation equal to or higher than required for the tender amount (estimated 1GB or higher)
• Compliance with CIDB Regulation 25(7A) and related guidance
• Tax compliance as per MBD 1 (Part B)
• Registered on Drakenstein Municipality supplier database
• Bids valid for a minimum of 120 days after closing
• Bids must be sealed, clearly marked with the bid number, and deposited in Tender Box 1
• Functionality: minimum 70% to proceed to the price/preference evaluation (80/20 system)
• Compulsory clarification meeting: attendance required (30 July 2026), with one representative per tenderer
• Contract to be signed on successful award; adherence to General Conditions of Contract for Construction Works and CIDB/Supply Chain requirements
