PROVISION OF MEDICAL INSURANCE COVER TO BOARD MEMBERS AND STAFF OF EQUALIZATION FUND

Overview

Procurement of medical insurance cover for Equalization Fund Board and staff (12 months, renewable) to be delivered by insurance providers via Open National Tender. The contract covers medical insurance for board members, staff and eligible dependents, with potential extension; two tenders exist: EF/T/002/2026-2027 and EF/T/003/2026-2027 (open to qualified insurers, brokers and underwriters).

Requirements

• Insurance providers, brokers or underwriters registered in Kenya; IRA registration to be treated as a contract-award condition.
• Compliance with Kenyan laws, debarment checks, and “Certificate of Independent Tender Determination.”
• Tax compliance certificate; evidence of qualifications per Section III.
• Tender security of 2% of quoted amount, valid for 215 days from tender opening.
• Clear conflict-of-interest rules and ability to be part of a JV if permitted; pages serialized per ITT requirements.
• Conformity with Section V/VI/VII of the tender documents and ability to meet Schedule of Requirements (medical + group life) (as per attached documents).

• Submission method: hard-copy submissions to Equalization Fund in Nairobi (8th Floor, National Bank Building) in a tender box; no electronic tenders.
• Documents to submit: Form of Tender and priced schedules, Tender Security, evidence of eligibility/qualifications, tax clearance, authorization letter, and any other documents required in the ITT; ensure pages are serialized.
• Registrations: IRA registration is a contract-award condition; tax compliance certificate; debarment checks; consider JV rules per ITT.
