Overview

This tender seeks: Provision of Medical Insurance, Group Life Insurance and Last Expense Insurance Cover for Nyandarua County staff members and their dependents, for a 1-year term renewable. Open tender targeting insurance providers registered in Kenya, including underwriters (or brokers/intermediaries acting for underwriters).

Requirements

• Insurance providers must be registered with the Insurance Regulatory Authority (IRA) to offer medical insurance (and related policies).
• Mandatory statutory documents: Tax Compliance Certificate; CR12 (for incorporated firms); NSSF compliance; SHA compliance; valid physical address license/permit; and IRA registration for medical insurance.
• Tender security: KES 1,000,000 (form as specified in the tender).
• Eligibility and integrity: no debarment; no conflicts of interest; adherence to anti-corruption and competition provisions.
• Tender validity: 140-day validity period.
• Pre-qualifications: pre-qualification not undertaken; provide required qualifications per Section III with the tender.
• Insurance duration: initial 1 year, with possible 1-year renewal; commence around 17 November 2026.
• Currency: Kenya Shillings.
