Overview

Provision of motor vehicle insurance cover for the Makueni County fleet for a one-year term (with optional renewal). The tender is Open; bidders should be Insurance providers registered with the Insurance Regulatory Authority (IRA), with joint ventures allowed, submit online via the IFMIS portal, and price in Kenyan Shillings. Requirements

• Insurance providers must be registered by the IRA to offer insurance services in Kenya.
• Submit a Tender Security of KSh 400,000 (or a Tender-Securing Declaration for AGPO).
• Provide evidence of tax compliance (KRA Tax Compliance Certificate).
• Include a Power of Attorney authorizing the signatory.
• Provide sample Insurance Policy for each type of insurance required and conformity with the schedule of requirements.
• Complete all forms (Form of Tender, Schedule of Prices, Eligibility/Qualification documentation) and disclose ownership/conflicts of interest as required.
• Submit all documents through the IFMIS portal by the deadline; pages must be serialized.
• Abide by standstill (14 days) after notification of award before contract signing.

• Submission method: online via the IFMIS procurement portal (www.supplier.treasury.go.ke / www.treasury.go.ke), as per TDS; hard copies are not accepted.
• Documents to submit: Form of Tender; Schedule of Prices; Tender Security or AGPO Declaration; Power of Attorney; IRA registration proof; Tax Compliance; sample Insurance Policy; evidence of conformity; other required forms in Section IV.
• Registrations/pre-qualifications: IRA registration; tax compliance certificate; no pre-qualification has been undertaken.
• Briefing/site visit: none required; there is no pre-tender meeting or site visit.
