PROVISION OF PROFESSIONAL ARCHITECTURAL SERVICES FOR NRF-SARAO

Overview

Provision of professional architectural services for NRF-SARAO across SARAO sites (planning, design, documentation, procurement support, construction-stage services and handover). Bidders should be professional architectural firms/consultants registered with SACAP (Senior Architect) with experience in existing/heritage buildings and the ability to operate across SARAO sites in Gauteng, Western Cape and Northern Cape. The RFQ is for firm-wide architectural services, with evaluation based on 80/20 price and BBBEE points, and requires electronic submission by 17 November 2026 11:00. Requirements

• Bachelor/Honours in Architecture or equivalent; SACAP registration as Pr SArcht (Senior Architect); at least 10 years post-registration experience.
• Availability/capacity to deliver the full scope and a named resource responsible for the project; evidence via CV, project references, and a commitment letter.
• Proof of professional liability insurance: minimum indemnity R6,000,000 per claim; public liability R1,000,000; deductible not exceeding 5% or R100,000; run-off/claims-made cover for at least 5 years after Practical Completion; at least 3 referees.
• Specific named resource(s) for delivery of the full scope; provide confirmation.
• BBBEE documentation (BBBEE certificate or sworn affidavit for EMEs/QSEs) and CSD registration; CIDB not required.
• Administrative/compliance: signed SBD1, SBD3.1 (pricing), SBD4, SBD6.1; price must be firm; pricing validity 60 days.
• Ability to provide soft copies (PDF/Word/Excel/DWG) and maintain statutory submissions and heritage-awareness requirements.
