PROVISION OF REPAIRS, MAINTENANCE, SUPPLY AND INSTALLATION OF WEATHER STATIONS AT THE WILDERNESS SECTION OF THE GARDEN ROUTE NATIONAL PARK FOR A PERIOD OF FIVE (5) YEARS

Overview

Provision of repairs, maintenance, supply and installation of weather stations at the Wilderness section of the Garden Route National Park for a five-year period. SANParks invites bids from suppliers with weather-station hardware/telemetry, solar-powered systems, installation and on-site maintenance capabilities. Submissions are electronic to GRNP.RFQS@sanparks.org; closing date 9 November 2026 at 11:00; bid validity 90 days; a compulsory site meeting is not applicable.

Requirements

• Authorised agents of IWeather and Davis, with proof of certification attached.
• Tax and supplier data compliance: provide SARS PIN/TCS (or CSD number if no TCS) and be registered on the Central Supplier Database; all parties in a consortium must provide their own TCS/CSD.
• Complete and sign the standard bidding documents: SBD1, SBD4, SBD6.1; submit the pricing schedule; if successful, sign SBD7.
• BBBEE: provide SANAS-verified certificate or sworn affidavit; claim points under the 80/20 or 90/10 system; provide proof for specific-goals where claimed.
• Additional admin: POPIA compliance; local-area preference documents (where applicable); ensure no contact with SANParks staff outside channels; late submissions disqualified.

• Documents to submit: fully completed SBD1, SBD4, SBD6.1; pricing schedule; proof of CSD registration; SARS TCS PIN or printed TCS certificate; CSD proof for consortiums; BBBEE verification or sworn affidavit; proof of authorization (company resolution); POPIA compliance statements.
• Required registrations/pre-qualifications: CSD registration; SARS tax-compliance; VAT if applicable.
• Briefing session: none (compulsory site meeting N/A).

• If awarded, contract will be formalised via a written contract form (SBD7).
