Overview

Provision of Roads/Pavement Opening/Cutting, Ducting and Reinstatement Services for Kenya Power & Lighting Company (KPLC). This open-tender (KP1/9A.2/OT/087/NM/25-26) invites eligible contractors with roadworks, civil, and electrical capability to bid. Key eligibility includes NCA registration (minimum NCA 8 for tarmac roads), Kenyan ownership/local registration, valid tax clearance, and demonstrated safety/quality systems. • Foreign input: 40% of contract inputs to Kenyan suppliers if tender is foreign; JV exemptions and nationality rules apply
• Documentation: Tax compliance, PIN, CR12, business permit, company registration
• Financials: Audited accounts (last 18 months) or certified bank statements if newly formed
• Key personnel: CVs and letters confirming availability for Project Manager, Safety Officer, Civil Engineer, Electrical Engineer
• Technical and safety: Evidence of road/pavement ownership, safety program, quality commitment
• Tender security or securing declaration
• Complete listed tender documents and schedule of services with a priced BOQ
• Site ownership/equipment proof and prior works history (last 5 years)
