Overview

SAFCOL seeks quotations for the provision of round log transport from Hanglip to Timbadola Sawmill (0-90 km). Target bidders are forestry transport operators with suitable equipment and relevant certifications (fleet capable of timber transport, COF/licences, B-BBEE verification, SANAS-accredited or EME/QSE sworn affidavit).

Requirements

• Minimum fleet and equipment: at least three 6x4 or 6x6 rigid truck tractors with 2–3 axle logger trailers, and three-wheel log loaders; equipment must be ready to operate immediately after award.
• Equipment compliance: all units with valid COF and licences; Original Equipment Manufacturer-backed equipment preferred; ENatis documents (RCI or LCO) or proof of purchase; lease/rental agreements if fleet is leased.
• Certifications/registrations: latest SARS tax clearance; SANAS-accredited B-BBEE certificate or sworn affidavit (EME/QSE); CSD registration; IDs of company directors; company registration documents.
• Documentation to submit: fully completed RFQ, quotation on company letterhead, SBD forms, returnable documents listed above.
• Evaluation framework: Phase 1 Administrative Compliance; Phase 2 Mandatory Evaluation (fleet configuration and proof of equipment); Phase 3 Price and Specific Goals (80/20; 51%+ Black Ownership yields 20 points).
• Specific goals: 51%+ Black Ownership points allocated; other goals (Black Women, Disability, Locality) may also apply depending on the bid.
• Special conditions: prices must be VAT-inclusive; no delivery before official purchase order; lowest price not automatically accepted; bid validity 60 days.
