Overview

Provision of round log transport from Hanglip to Timbadola Sawmill. This RFQ from SAFCOL targets timber/logistics service providers with forestry transport capability (up to 90 km lead distance, Entabeni area) to move pine sawlogs to a mill. Suitable bidders are forestry/logistics operators with the required heavy equipment, COF/licensing, SANAS B-BBEE (or sworn affidavit for EME/QSE), and authority to trade (CSD/tax clearance). The RFQ is issued 14 July 2026 and closes 20 July 2026 at 12:00.

Requirements

• Minimum equipment (mandatory): at least three 6x4 or 6x6 rigid truck tractors with two/three-axle logger trailers; three-wheel loggers for loading. Ownership proof via ENatis (RCI or LCO) or proof of purchase; leased fleets require lease/rental agreements.
• Compliance documents: fully completed RFQ on company letterhead; SANAS-accredited B-BBEE certificate or sworn affidavit for EME/QSE; CSD report or MAAA number; SARS tax clearance; IDs of directors; SBD forms; SA Supplier Code of Conduct acknowledgement.
• Rate submission: fill Schedule 6 with rate per km; all spaces must be completed; rates exclude VAT.
• Operational: equipment must be available immediately after award; no waiting period to source equipment; all units must have COF/licensing.
• Evaluation: 80/20 system (price 80, specific goals 20); 51%+ Black Ownership earns 20 points; provide proof as required.
• Pre-qualification: registration with CSD within 7 working days of award; adherence to protection of personal information and procurement rules.
