PROVISION OF ROUND LOG TRANSPORT FROM SAFCOL ENTABENI PLANTATION TO TIMBADOLA SAWMILL

Overview

The RFQ seeks to procure round-log transport services from SAFCOL's Entabeni Plantation to Timbadola Sawmill. Bidders should have forestry transport capability, including a fleet of heavy trucks with log trailers and three-wheel loggers, and be compliant with SAFCOL requirements (CSD registration or proof, SANAS-accredited B-BBEE certificate or EME/QSE sworn affidavit, tax clearance).

Requirements

• Minimum equipment: at least three 6x4 or 6x6 rigid truck tractors with 2-3 axle logger trailers and three-wheel loggers; demonstrate ownership via enatis RC1/LCO or proof of purchase; lease documents if leased.
• Compliance: COF and licences; original equipment manufacturers near operating area recommended.
• Documentation: fully completed RFQ; quotation on company letterhead; SBD forms; latest Tax Clearance; BBBEE certificate or sworn affidavit; CSD registration (or register within 7 working days of award); ID copies of directors.
• Special conditions: prices inclusive of VAT; Schedule 6 rate sheet completed; returnable documents include valid tax clearance, BBBEE, CSD/MAAA number; personal data handling compliant; supplier code of conduct.
• Evaluation: Phase 1 administrative compliance; Phase 2 mandatory equipment configurations; Phase 3 price and specific-goals (80/20; 51%+ Black Ownership = 20 points).
