Overview

This RFQ seeks a service provider to PROVISION ROUND LOG TRANSPORT from SAFCOL Wilgeboom Plantation to Sappi Ngodwana. Bidders should be forestry/logistics transport specialists with equipment capable of timber transport (pine and gum), and hold appropriate certifications (COF/licences, SANAS B-BBEE or sworn affidavit), plus ability to operate within a lead distance up to 100 km and deliver immediately after award.

Requirements

• Equipment and capability: minimum of three 6x4 or 6x6 rigid logger trucks with 2–3 axle logger trailers; two-wheel loaders for loading; three-wheel logger equipment; immediate availability after award; COF and licences for all units; ENatis RC1 or LCO proof; OEM/dealer support near operation; lease/purchase documentation if leased.
• Documentation and registrations: valid SARS tax clearance; SANAS-accredited B-BBEE certificate or sworn affidavit (EME/QSE); CSD registration; IDs for company directors.
• Bid documents: fully completed RFQ; official quotation on company letterhead; returnable documents including latest tax clearance, BBBEE, CSD/MAAA number, and director IDs; ensure SBD forms are signed.
• Compliance notes: no disqualification for tax non-compliance after a 7-working-day remedy window; no false declarations; adherence to SAFCOL supplier code of conduct; JV bids require consolidated BEE.
• Evaluation: Phase 1 Administrative Compliance; Phase 2 Mandatory Evaluation (equipment and documentation); Phase 3 Price and Specific Goals (80/20, with 51%+ Black Ownership awarding 20 points).
