Overview

SAFCOL’s RFQ seeks the provision of round log transport from Thathe Vondo to Timbadola Sawmill (0-90 km), for pine sawlogs. Suitable bidders are forestry/logistics service providers with a compliant fleet and the required certifications (see attached RFQ for full specs: RFQ2020872026 ROUNDLOG TRANSPORT THATHE .pdf).

Requirements

• Minimum equipment: at least three 6x4 or 6x6 rigid tractor units with 2-3 axle logger trailers; three-wheel log loaders.
• Proof of equipment ownership/lease: ENatis documents (RC1 or LCO) or proof of purchase; lease/rental agreements if leased.
• Compliance: Certificate of Fitness (COF) and licenses for all units.
• OEM accreditation: Accredited dealer principles near the operating area recommended.
• B-BBEE: SANAS-accredited B-BBEE certificate or sworn affidavit for EME/QSE.
• Tax & regulatory: SARS tax clearance; CSD registration (or MAAC number) and IDs of company directors.
• Returnable documents: fully completed RFQ; official quotation on letterhead; latest tax clearance; BBBEE certificate or sworn affidavit; CSD/MAAA number; IDs of directors.
• Rates and VAT: all prices inclusive of VAT where applicable; rates exclude handling.
