Overview

Provision of IsatPhone2 satphone units and airtime. Bidders should be satellite communications suppliers capable of supplying 2 x 500 IsatPhone2 units (total 1000 units) with 730 days of airtime (two 365-day windows), loaded on all units, with transferrable airtime when renewals occur before the window end.

Requirements

• IsatPhone2 units and airtime as specified (2 x 500 units; 730 days airtime; 1000 units loaded; transferrable with renewal).
• Compliance and registrations: valid Tax Compliance PIN; SARS e-Filing where applicable; CSD number if no TCS; CIDB registration (if applicable); B-BBEE certificate or sworn affidavit.
• Documentation: submit on official bid forms; include MBD1–MBD9 where applicable and Pricing Schedule – MBD 3.1; attach required compliance certificates and ID as requested.
• Procurement rules: 80/20 PPPFA evaluation; 90-day bid validity; payment within 30 days of invoice; no site meetings; no fax/e-mail submissions.
• Registrations: ODM Accredited Supplier Database and Central Supplier Database (CSD) registration.
• Other: compliance with POPIA; CIDB verification if applicable; CIDB and VAT details as required.

How to Apply

• Deadline: 31 July 2026, 12:00.
• Submission: sealed envelope labeled “Q01-2026: PROVISION OF SATPHONE UNITS AND AIRTIME” to the Bid Box, Overberg District Municipality, 26 Long Street, Bredasdorp (not later than 12:00). No fax or e-mail submissions.
• Documents to submit (see Pricing Schedule – MBD 3.1): complete official bid documents (MBD1–MBD9 as applicable), Pricing Schedule, Tax Compliance PIN, CSD number (if no TCS), BBBEE documentation, CIDB registration, and any other requested certifications.
• Where to obtain documents: from Overberg District Municipality’s Supply Chain Management Unit (11 Recreation Street, Bredasdorp) during office hours; the attached bid documents (MBD forms and schedules) are the primary reference.
