Overview

Provision of Security Services in Qumbu for a one-year contract. The Municipality seeks a PSIRA-registered security service provider to cover 14 Qumbu sites with about 57 guards (Grade C), including armed and unarmed deployments, across locations such as Qumbu Pound, offices, libraries, stadiums, cemeteries, and more. The vendor must provide full security management, control room monitoring, incident reporting, and emergency response capabilities.

Requirements

• Fully compliant and registered with PSIRA; valid public liability/insurance.
• Control room facility for ongoing security monitoring.
• Appoint a dedicated manager and supervisors; well-qualified personnel.
• Provide private security, physical access control, patrols, and risk management; produce monthly and incident reports.
• Ability to respond to emergencies within specified periods.
• Adhere to a “GUN FREE ZONE” policy; firearms permitted only for authorized personnel.
• Complete site inspections and deliver a detailed security plan at no extra cost.
• Supervisors to visit sites daily; operate 24-hour shifts (day/night) unless noted otherwise.
• Deployment plan: 14 sites across Qumbu; approximately 55 guards (31 armed, 24 unarmed).
• Required documents: PSIRA proof, COID/insurances, SARS PIN, CSD, B-BBEE, company registrations, and audited financials (past 3 years). JV documents if applicable.
