Overview

Provision of specialised tactical Armed response security services and aerial surveillance for 60 months. Eskom seeks bids from security providers offering armed response, drone/aerial surveillance and related protective services for Grootvlei Power Station, Vaal Dam and NKP external areas. Bidders should have: ISO 9001-based QMS, CIDB/CSD registrations, BBBEE compliance, and the capacity to deploy full-time security teams and drone operations, with subcontracting and SHEQ/commercial compliance as per Eskom tender rules.

Requirements

• Formal QMS conforming to ISO 9001 (per Eskom Supplier Quality Management specification 240-105658000).
• Personnel capability: primary teams (e.g., 22 security per shift, 44 total) including Grade B supervisor and Grade C armed officers with SASSETA firearms training and SAPS firearm competency; Regulation 21 training; SACAA drone operators with Remote Operator Certificates; and safety/site management roles.
• Drone capabilities and compliance: SACAA regulations, night vision, real-time video, minimum flight times, and other remote-sensing specs; adherence to aviation and safety rules.
• Subcontracting and local content: minimum 30% of contract value to designated groups (EME/QSE, 51% black ownership), plus applicable SBD local content declarations and CIDB considerations.
• Registrations and returnables: CSD registration, CIDB where applicable, tax clearance, and completion/submission of required SBD forms and tender returnables (e.g., Form A, Annexes, Pricing Schedule).
