Overview

Procurement of stacking, boiler feeding, stickers manufacturing and value extraction services for a month at Timbadola Saw Mill. SAFCOL invites service providers with labour-supply capabilities to perform stacking in the Wetmill, boiler feeding, sticker handling, and value-extraction work, with required experience in sawmilling/forestry/agriculture, transport and accommodation provisions, and compliance with SAFCOL safety standards. Bidders must have appropriate B-BBEE status (SANAS-accredited verifier or sworn affidavit for EME/QSE), a valid tax clearance, and CSD registration.

Requirements

• Demonstrable experience managing sawmilling/forestry/agriculture contracts; minimum 12 months; provide verifiable client references.
• Full RFQ response on company letterhead; all SBDs signed; B-BBEE certificate or sworn affidavit; tax clearance; CSD registration; IDs of company directors.
• Compliance and safety: COID/Workmen’s Compensation registration; contractor to supply PPE per job function; induction/training aligned to SAFCOL safety standards; accommodation and transport for labour; daily timesheets for verification.
• Staffing: labour for stacking and boiler operations across defined shifts; transport to deliver on Fridays and collect Mondays; duties include stackers, sticker handlers, cleaners, board separators, supervisors, waste recovery, boiler feeders, lubricators, etc., as per Annexure A.
• Financials: prices must be firm and VAT-inclusive; payments based on work performed; no delivery without an official PO or promissory note.
• Evaluation: 100 points total (80 price, 20 specific goals); preference for at least 51% Black Ownership.
• Pre-qualification: CSD registration if not already; verification of tax status; SARS/Tax clearance to be up to date.

• Pre-qualifications: register with CSD within 7 working days of award if not already registered
• Briefing session: none (no compulsory briefing)
• Delivery site: Timbadola Saw Mill (refer Annexure A for location details)
• Additional notes: any RFQ specification-branding notes must be raised before closing date; adherence to SAFCOL supplier code of conduct; price quotes must be compliant with VAT and be responsive to the detailed staffing and safety requirements in Annexure A.
