PROVISION OF STAFF MEDICAL INSURANCE COVER FOR THE YEAR 2026-2027

Overview

The County Government of Mombasa invites sealed tenders for PROVISION OF STAFF MEDICAL INSURANCE COVER FOR THE YEAR 2026–2027. Open national competitive bidding; joint ventures allowed up to three members; bidders must be insured providers licensed by the Insurance Regulatory Authority (IRA). Requirements

• Insurance providers must be licensed by the IRA to tender and sign contracts.
• Joint ventures allowed up to three members; JV must nominate a representative and be jointly liable; members cannot bid separately or in other JV configurations for this Tender.
• Tender Security: KSh 300,000 in Banker’s guarantee, IRA‑issued Insurance Guarantee, letter of credit, or other government-backed guarantees, valid 30 days beyond tender validity.
• Tax compliance certificate from Kenya Revenue Authority.
• Tender validity: 180 days; prices to be quoted in Kenya Shillings and include all taxes; no post‑award price adjustments unless allowed by the TDS.
• Documentation: provide Form of Tender, Schedule of Requirements, Tender Security, Power of Attorney, qualifications and eligibility evidence, conformity, sample policy, and any other TDS‑required documents.
• Note: Registration with IRA is a contract‑award condition, not a tender eligibility requirement; pre‑qualification and other rules apply as per ITT.

How to Apply

• Submission method: sealed paper tender envelopes deposited at the Tender Box, County Assembly Hall ground floor, Treasury Square, Mombasa (no electronic submission; see ITT 23.1). Bulky tenders may be submitted to the Director of Procurement & Supplies.
• Documents to complete and submit: Form of Tender (Section IV), priced Schedule of Requirements, Tender Security, Power of Attorney, qualifications, eligibility, conformity, sample Insurance Policy, and any other documents requested (Section IV/VII of the tender pack).
