Overview

Provision of supplying and installation of air conditioning units at Eskom Northern Cape Operating Unit (GEMMA Cluster). Suitable bidders are mechanical/electrical contractors with CIDB minimum 2ME, capable of executing Eskom SHE requirements, and possessing (or implementing) a QMS aligned to ISO 9001 (per Eskom standard). The contract may use NEC3 terms (Short Term/Service type) and will be bid via Eskom’s e-tendering portal.

Documents indicate a non-compulsory clarification on 09 July 2026 (Ms Teams) and a closing date of 17 July 2026 at 10:00 (via the Eskom e-tender portal).

Requirements

• CIDB grading: minimum 2ME (Technical Evaluation Criteria).
• Compliance with Eskom SHE Specification and related safety/health requirements for aircon works.
• Supplier Quality Management: ISO 9001-based QMS; adherence to the Eskom QM requirements (per 240-105658000).
• Local content and CPA requirements where applicable; complete Annexures C–G (as per Annexures list in the Invitation).
• Complete and submit all listed SBD forms and returnable documents: SBD 1, SBD 4, SBD 6.1 (and related local-content annexures), plus Tax Evaluation questionnaire.
• Documentation format: electronic submissions only; PDFs for documents, Pricing Schedule/BOQ in PDF or Excel as provided; total upload cap and no zip files (per Invitation).
• Contract type: NEC3 short-term contract terms to be considered (see NEC SHORT TERM CONTRACT.PDF).
• Environmental requirements for GEMMA Cluster (Annexure C) and safety/Audits as specified (SHE).

How to Apply

• Register and download tender documents from Eskom E-tendering; submission is electronic only (no hard copy) via etendering.eskom.co.za.
• Prepare and submit: Annexures A–J, SBD 1/4/6.1 forms, local-content declarations, Tax questionnaire, pricing Schedule/BOQ (Excel) and any other returnables.
• Attend non-compulsory clarification meeting: 09 July 2026 at 11:00 via MS Teams (link in Invitation).
• Submit before 17 July 2026 10:00; ensure the status is marked complete; use PDF for documents and PDF for the price list (per tender data). Late submissions are not accepted (per Tender Data).
• If resubmitting, the latest version prevails.
• Clarifications must be asked by five working days before the closing date (per tender data).
