Overview

Procurement of tactical security services at Tweefontein, Brooklands and Longtom plantations for four months. SAFCOL seeks seasoned security providers with forestry-sector experience to deliver 24/7 tactical response, equipped with 4x4 vehicles, armed officers, branding, tracking, and compliant with PSIRA and applicable South African laws (SHEQ, legal, and labour standards). Eligible bidders should have proven forestry/Lowveld coverage, corporate capability (CSD, tax clearance, BBBEE), and the capacity to supply managed security resources and reporting.

Requirements

• 4-month Tactical Response Unit with 24/7 presence; minimum resources: 1× 5-seater+ 4x4 branded vehicle, 2× armed Grade C+ officers, 1× armed Grade B supervisor. (RFQ doc)
• Vehicles: 4x4, 5-seater minimum, properly branded, with tracking; communications in place.
• Personnel: trained, licensed, PSIRA-registered; evidence of firearm competencies and licences; crowd/ground control and crime-prevention training; control room capability.
• Compliance: SHEQ (SHEQ, NOSA, FSC, BOP), legal (listed Acts), and Labour statutory requirements; CSD registration; tax clearance; BBBEE (SANAS or sworn affidavit for EME/QSE); IDs of directors; NEC4 Term Service Short Contract signed.
• Returnable docs: tax clearance, BBBEE, CSD/MAAA, director IDs, PSIRA (company and directors) and good-standing letter; control room availability; NEC document; monthly reports; employment contracts and payslips for compliance checks.
• Financial/insurance: public liability min R10 million; unlimited liability for theft in the presence of the security company; travel allowances included; monthly monitoring reports and vehicle-tracking reports.
• Other: forensics capability against illegal sawmillers; flexibility to move operations; area focus on Sabie region (Brooklands, Tweefontein, Longtom). (RFQ doc)
