Overview

SAFCOL invites quotes for the provision of terrain gardening services at Timbadola Sawmill for a three-month period, including gardening maintenance, refuse removal, and ablution cleaning. Suitable bidders are in estate/grounds maintenance or landscaping, with capacity to supply PPE, and to meet SAFCOL H&S, B-BBEE, tax, and CSD requirements.

Requirements

• Scope: Estate and gardening maintenance, refuse removal, cleaning of toilets at the sawmill, village, and recreational areas; grass cutting around offices, houses, and recreation areas; weed clearing; weekly waste removal; site cleaning tasks; PPE and safety compliance.
• Staffing: 10 personnel (1 Supervisor; 2 Ablution cleaners; 3 Grass cutters; 4 General workers).
• Equipment: 4 heavy-duty grass cutters; 1 heavy-duty lawn mower; 1 LVD vehicle (min 700 kg capacity); contractor to supply PPE.
• Health & Safety: OSHACT compliance; SAFCOL/KLF H&S induction; safety file; hot work permits; on-site safety coordination; H&S compliance for sub-contractors.
• Transport/Accommodation: Contractor to provide transport and accommodation; weekend transport if needed.
• Compliance: Proof of SARS tax clearance; CSD registration (register within 7 days of award if not already); B-BBEE certificate or sworn affidavit; company registration documents; Directors’ ID copies; SBD forms.
• Evaluation: 80/20 system (Price 80, Specific Goals 20); Phase 1 Administrative Compliance, Phase 2 Mandatory Requirements, Phase 3 Price and Specific Goals; at least 51% Black Ownership earns 20 points; local content and locality goals optional with documentation.
• Documentation: SAFCOL Supplier Code of Conduct acknowledgement; SBD4 disclosure; SBD6.1 Preference Point form.
