Overview

ProvIsion of comprehensive vehicle insurance for Moi Teachers College-Baringo vehicles; eligible bidders are IRA-registered insurance providers (including SMEs) capable of provisioning one-year insurance coverage.

Requirements

• Insurance providers must be registered by the Insurance Regulatory Authority (IRA).
• Evidence of registrations and pre-qualification documents: valid certificate of registration/incorporation, KRA PIN, valid tax compliance certificate, and valid trade license/business permit.
• Proof of physical location of the business; duly signed tender forms; certificate of independence tender determination; self-declarations not debarred and not engaging in corrupt or fraudulent practices.
• Tender must be serialized page-by-page; include Tender-Securing Declaration or Tender Security in original.
• Currency: Kenya Shillings; tender validity: 91 days.
• Margin of preference: not allowed (per ITT 34.2).
• Pre-qualification not undertaken for this tender.
• JV arrangements may have up to 2 members; each JV member remains liable for contract obligations.

How to Apply

• Submission deadline: 10 July 2026 at 11:00 AM (VEHICLE INSURANCE.pdf). Non-electronic submission; late tenders rejected.
• Submission method: sealed tenders delivered to the Principal, Moi Teachers College-Baringo; drop in the tender box outside college reception; envelopes marked ORIGINAL and COPIES.
• Documents to submit: Form of Tender, priced Schedule of Requirements, Tender Security or Declaration, authorization to sign, evidence of qualifications and eligibility, conformity with requirements, sample insurance policy for each type, and any other documents listed (ITT 12.1).
• Required registrations: IRA registration; tax compliance; KRA PIN; valid trade license; proof of incorporation/registration; Dully signed self-declarations.
• Briefing/site visit: pre-tender site visit/briefing may be arranged; attendance is optional (minutes to be shared if conducted).
