Overview

Provision to Service, repair and test an air compressor for Transnet Port Terminals (TPT) at the Port of Port Elizabeth Container Terminal, on a one-off service. The contract covers servicing, repairing and testing a specified Ilva 270 L compressor, to be performed at Transnet’s straddle workshop, with on-site testing overseen by a Transnet examiner.

Requirements

• SAQCC PV/IPE registration for inspector and SANAS AIA accreditation; SANAS schedule verification.
• Tax compliance: SARS PIN and/or Central Supplier Database (CSD) registration; separate TCSs for each JV/consortium if applicable.
• Evidence of capability: minimum 2 years’ compressor experience; CV/qualifications of the technician; three reference letters; 6-month minimum workmanship guarantee.
• Technical documentation: MPI/NDT test certificates, calibration certificates for test gauges, and related on-site inspection/commissioning evidence.
• Compliance with Transnet terms, health & safety and security requirements (on-site presence, site briefing, security checks).
