Overview

Provisioning/renewal of SSL certificates for 24 months for the Department of Forestry, Fisheries and Environment (SSL subscriptions and related services). IT security/SSL providers should consider bidding, and must be able to supply Lawtrust-certified SSL certificates (partner/reseller).

Requirements

• Mandatory: proof of being a certified partner or reseller of SSL Lawtrust.
• Submit completed SBD documents, supplier formal quotation, and CSD report.
• Pricing must include VAT where applicable; provide VAT details and your CSD MAAA number.
• Tax compliance: provide SARS-related tax status information (PIN) or CSD number; comply with tax requirements.
• Preference points: 80/20 system; up to 20 points for specific goals (ownership >50% by Black people, Women, or people with disabilities); JV/consortia may share points if ownership criteria met.
• Documentation to claim preference: complete SBD 6.1, medical certificate if claiming disability, SANAS/CIPC B-BBEE certificate or sworn affidavit, and Ownership Certificate (CIPC).
• All quotations must be valid for 90 days from closing date.

How to Apply

• Submission deadline: 23 September 2026 at 11:00 (late bids not accepted). RFQ validity: 90 days.
• Submission method: email completed quotation to Quotations1@dffe.gov.za (include RFQ number in the subject); questions to rfqenquiries@dffe.gov.za.
• Documents to submit: signed SBDs (SBD 4, SBD 6.1), supplier Formal Quotation, CSD report (and any specified MAAA/TAX documents).
• Pre-qualifications: provide CSD/MAAA number; tax compliance PIN or CSD number; if applicable, SANAS/CIPC B-BBEE documentation.
• Briefing session: none (no briefing session).
• Where to obtain documents: RFQ template and Annexure A are part of the attached pack (see 2026-2027 RFQ Template SSL final (003).pdf) and Annexure A: Specification for SSL certificates. Delivery is via portal after PO.
