Overview

PS 09/2026 seeks a service provider to supply, maintain and train personnel on a security crime prevention drone for Alfred Duma Local Municipality. The contract comprises two sections: (1) outright procurement of the drone and (2) training competency and mandatory certifications to operate the drone. Bidders must be suitably qualified organizations or consortia with unmanned aircraft systems capability, SACAA accreditation, PSIRA registration, and compliance with CSD/BBBEE requirements.

Requirements

• Letter of authorisation from the drone manufacturer to supply a crime prevention drone.
• Demonstrable SACAA accreditation for a training organization able to certify RPAS pilots.
• PSIRA registration for the bidder.
• Experience in similar drone-related work (letters of appointment or references).
• Local presence in Alfred Duma (RDP goals 15/20) and ownership verification per BBBEE.
• CSD registration and BBBEE certificate or sworn affidavit; tax clearance.
• Joint ventures: separate tax clearance for each party; complete returnable documents.
• Minimum 60% score to proceed to the second evaluation round.
• Mandatory compulsory briefing attendance.
