Overview

Procurement of the purchase and installation of SMPTE hybrid camera cables and related components to replace the existing cables for TV Outside Broadcast. Target bidders include broadcast systems integrators with OEM/distributor authorisation, and the capability to supply, install, terminate and train staff on the new cables and connectors (see 2026RFP- Purchase and Installation of camera cables for TV Outside Broadcast (002).pdf). Requirements

• Valid OEM/distributor letter authorising distribution of the products in SA (signed, dated within 1 year of closing). Mandatory or bidder is disqualified.
• CSD registration, SARS PIN, and TV license status (proof or sworn affidavit where applicable).
• BBBEE: valid SANAS-verification certificate; EMEs/QSEs may sworn affidavit annually; include shareholding details.
• Certified company documents: Company registration, directors/members/shareholders IDs, and related certificates.
• Tax clearance and TV license must be in order; CSD registration mandatory.
• Compliance with local content and B-BBEE verification rules; misrepresentation prohibited. (Documents A, B, G)

How to Apply

• Obtain the bid documents from the tender portal and SABC site (Document A).
• Attend the non-compulsory briefing on 04 August 2026 at 10:00 via Microsoft Teams (see 2026RFP…pdf).
• Submit proposals by 14 August 2026 at 12:00, electronically to RFPSubmissions@sabc.co.za; attach pricing separately and mark subject line with tender details (Document A).
• Include: signed bid document, SBD forms (various), Annexure A (Tender Price Summary), and all other mandatory documents listed in Document A and B (see filenames in attached documents).
• Ensure documents like CSD, SARS PIN, TV license, company registration, and BBBEE evidence are provided; late or non-compliant submissions are disqualified. (Documents A, B, G, H, I)

Notes:

• Pricing must be in ZAR (VAT shown separately); all costs, including installation, testing, and guarantees, must be included. Prices may be negotiated. (Document B)
• Evaluation includes 39 points for technical compliance, 60 points for functionality, and 80/20 price with specific goals; minimum functionality threshold applies. (Documents E, G)
