Overview

Q33/2026-2027: Supply and delivery of stainless-steel bar screens for water and wastewater treatment works, including two bar-screen configurations. Open to suppliers capable of manufacturing/supplying stainless-steel bar screens; local delivery to Clanwilliam.

Requirements

• Use official quotation forms and keep responses in ink; no retyping or corrections with correction fluid.
• Compulsory registration on the Central Supplier Database (CSD).
• Tax compliance: provide SARS Tax Compliance Status PIN or equivalent; where applicable, VAT registration.
• Quotation values over R30,000 require tax clearance evidence and completed MBD forms: MBD 4, MBD 6.1, MBD 9 (and related MBDs as listed).
• BBBEE: submit a BBBEE verification certificate (SANAS) or sworn affidavit to claim preference; local points also apply (MBD 6.1).
• Invoices to be paid within 30 days; payment after delivery.
• The bid may be withdrawn or re-advertised; award not necessarily to the lowest bid; non-performance remedies included.
• Addresses and delivery terms: lead time 14 days after PO; delivery to Clanwilliam (De Villiers Street).
• Compliance with GCC/SCC; no awards to persons in the state service; adhere to anti-corruption provisions.

How to Apply

• Documents and specifications are obtainable from the Supply Chain Management Unit, 2A Voortrekker Street, Clanwilliam.
• Closing time: 12:00 on 02 October 2026; bids must be deposited in the bid box (open 24/7) at Clanwilliam offices (Q33/2026-2027).
• Submissions must be sealed, clearly marked with the reference and title; late/faxed quotes will not be considered.
• Required registrations and pre-qualifications: CSD registration; SARS TCS/PIN; where applicable, foreign suppliers complete Part B; bid response must include MBD forms (MBD 1, MBD 4, MBD 6.1, MBD 7.1, MBD 8, MBD 9) and the pricing schedule.
• Pricing: complete the Pricing Schedule; delivery lead time is 14 days after PO; pricing must be VAT-inclusive and valid for 60 days.
