Overview

Q36/2026-2027: Appointment of a contractor to fill, pack and stack geosandbags at Lambert's Bay reef parking area. This is an open municipal tender for coastal erosion mitigation at the Lambert’s Bay parking area; the project covers on-site filling and stacking of 250 geosandbags and the erection of a 70 m long, 1.8 m high galvanised fence. The transaction value is up to R300,000 (VAT included). Bidders must be capable of on-site execution and adhere to health and safety requirements. Requirements

• On-site filling of 250 geosandbags and stacking to stabilise the eroded side wall; erection of a 70 m x 1.8 m fence with poles/droppers; no damage to surrounding areas.
• Health & Safety file with valid documents, and use of PPE for all workers.
• Price must be VAT inclusive and price validity of 60 days.
• Mandatory registration on the Central Supplier Database (CSD) and SARS Tax Compliance Status (PIN) where applicable; submission of required MBD forms (e.g., MBD4, MBD6.1, MBD9) with quotation.
• Compliance with GCC/SCC, and adherence to municipal SCM policies; no bid from persons in the state service.

• Submission deadline: 12 October 2026 at 12:00; submissions must be deposited in the bid box at the Clanwilliam Municipal Offices, 2A Voortrekker Street (sealed in envelope; 24/7 bid box access) (see Q36/2026-2027).
