Overview

Training: Snake Handling and Provision of Equipment for 31 Fire Fighters and 31 Safety Representatives. Dawid Kruiper Local Municipality seeks accredited providers to deliver a training program and supply equipment on-site in Upington, Northern Cape. Bidders must hold permits to possess/handle live reptiles, provide public liability insurance, and show proven experience with similar snake-handling training and equipment provisions, aligned with wildlife/safety training standards.

Requirements

• Accreditation/permits under Northern Cape Nature Conservation Act 2009 for possession/transport/handling of live reptiles.
• Public liability insurance (minimum R1,000,000) and an Emergency Medical Response Protocol.
• Evidence of at least two reference letters for similar training projects and facilitator certificates/accreditation for snake handling.
• Detailed course outline; learner documentation; LMS/SETAs/NLRD alignment; certification of learners.
• Compliance with Skills Development Act, NQF, Occupational Health and Safety Act, and related legislation; tax compliance and CSD registration; municipal account in good standing.
• Prices must be VAT inclusive, valid for 120 days; delivery/training to be completed within 4 weeks of order.

• Documents to submit (per tender): MBD 1, MBD 4, MBD 6.1, MBD 7.1, MBD 8, MBD 9; proof of CSD, municipal account, and tax compliance status (TCS PIN) as applicable; proof of local status for preference points.
• Mandatory/compulsory attachments (see Tender Document): Northern Cape Nature Conservation Act permits; public liability insurance; emergency protocol; two reference letters; facilitator certificates; detailed training course outline. If an out-of-province bidder is successful, a Northern Cape permit must be obtained 14 days before training.
