Overview

Procurement of accommodation and meals for one DPWI official for a three-month period, including laundry, in Idutywa (Mazidlekhaya or equivalent) per the department’s specification. Bidders should be capable of providing 92 days’ accommodation, 91 days of breakfast and dinner, and weekly laundry for a single official, under an open tender by the Eastern Cape Department of Public Works & Infrastructure (Amathole region).

Requirements

• Proof of tax compliance and SARS PIN; if VAT registered, VAT details and registration.
• Registration on the Central Supplier Database (CSD); VAT vendor status where applicable.
• Submissions on official forms: SBD 1 (Parts A/B), SBD 3.1 (Pricing Schedule), SBD 4 (Disclosures), SBD 6.1 (Preference Points Claim); Annexures A–C completed; ASATA membership (phase 1).
• Capability to provide accommodation in Idutywa (Mazidlekhaya or equivalent) for 92 days, plus meals and weekly laundry (as specified in the tender).
• Brand flexibility: where a brand is named, an equivalent or better item is acceptable.
• Insurance: contractor to insure personnel and equipment; indemnify the department.
• Performance security due within 1 month of award; payment terms: within 1 month of invoice.
• Compliance with GCC and general bid rules; two-stage evaluation (administrative, then PPPFA 80/20).
