Quotation for the purchase of equipment for beach monitor staff

Overview

George Municipality invites a quotation for the PURCHASE OF EQUIPMENT FOR BEACH MONITOR STAFF (gazebo, heavy‑duty folding table, black plastic chairs) to outfit beach monitoring teams. This is a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for outdoor equipment; bidders should be suppliers of outdoor event furniture and light structures. Key items and relevant documentation are specified in the attached quotation documents (GMQ008/26-27).

Requirements

• Submit MBD1 (Tax Compliance) Parts A & B, MBD4, MBD6.1, MBD8, MBD9 with the quotation.
• Tax compliance: provide SARS Tax Compliance Status PIN or CSD number; if applicable, register on CSD.
• B-BBEE: valid original certificate or certified copy; include proof for BBBEE points.
• Locality: provide address proof to claim locality points; offices must be staffed locally within George or region for GRAP/Substance checks.
• No bid from persons in the service of the state; complete disclosure as required.
• If a joint venture/consortium/subcontractors are involved, provide joint venture agreement and separate TCS/CSD for each party.
• Provide municipal account details for declared offices as part of the vendor declaration.

• Submission deadline: 12:00 on Friday, 30 October 2026 (GMQ008/26-27).
• Submission method: completed quotations in a sealed envelope delivered to the tender box on the Fifth Floor, Civic Centre, York Street, George; no post, fax, or email submissions.
• Documents to complete/submit: MBD1, MBD4, MBD6.1, MBD8, MBD9, pricing schedule; CIDB details if applicable; General Conditions of Contract are included in the tender pack.
• Pre-qualifications/registrations: submit TCS PIN; register on CSD if not using SARS TCS; ensure CVs/ID copies for directors; attach copies of relevant licences.
