RATE-BASED: HIRE OF MEDIUM-SIZE EXCAVATOR AND LOWBED AT WET RATE FOR REPAIRS ON AMATOLA WATER DISTRIBUTION SYSTEMS FOR THE REPAIRS OF PIPELINES ON AS AND WHEN REQUIRED BASIS

Overview

Rate-based hire of a medium-size excavator and lowbed (with operator) on an as‑needed basis to support repairs on Amatola Water distribution pipelines. Bidders with plant-hire, civil-construction or pipeline maintenance capabilities and relevant registrations are encouraged to bid.

Requirements

• Bidders must be registered on the Central Supplier Database (CSD) or provide SARS Tax Compliance Status (PIN) and be tax compliant.
• Provide COIDA/public liability insurance as required; joint venture arrangements must be documented where applicable.
• Provide proof of ownership or lease for the excavator and lowbed; excavator must have an hour meter and be roadworthy.
• Complete and sign mandatory forms: FORM A (Authority to Sign), FORM B (previous contracts) and Forms B.1, B.2; SBD 1, SBD 4, SBD 6.1; Pricing Schedule SBD 3.1 (firm prices).
• Pricing must be firm; VAT to be shown separately; bid validity 120 days; compliant with GCC (July 2010).
