Overview

RE-ADVERTISEMENT: Appointment of an Engineering Consulting Firm for design review, contract administration and site supervision for the construction of a bulk water line, bulk sewer line and 20 Mℓ reservoirs in Winterveld Ext 3 and 4 for a period of 6 months. City of Tshwane seeks a professional service provider with registered engineers (ECSA) and proven experience in reservoir design and water/sewer reticulation projects to perform design reviews, contract administration and site supervision (6 months).

Requirements

• Mandatory personnel and qualifications:
  • Project Leader: BSc/BTech Civil; ECSA Engineer/Technologist; ≥5 years post-registration in reservoir design
  • Civil Engineer: BSc/BTech Civil; ECSA; ≥5 years post-registration in water/sewer design
  • Structural Engineer: BSc/BTech Civil; ECSA; ≥5 years post-registration in water/sewer design
  • Engineer’s Representative: BSc/BTech Civil; ECSA; ≥3 years post-registration
• Experience criteria (documented):
  • At least one reinforced concrete reservoir project
  • At least one bulk water and/or sewer reticulation project
  • CVs for key staff detailing relevant experience
  • Proof of registrations and qualifications (returnable schedules RD.A.8, RD.A.10)
• Evaluation:
  • Minimum 70 points to be eligible, with functionality scored by multiple evaluators
  • Scored on reservoir experience, reticulation projects, and staff experience (as per RD schedules)
• Compliance:
  • Proof of Professional Indemnity Insurance
  • Adherence to specified contract standards and reference documents (CIDB/NEC3 context)
• Returnable and contract documents to be completed as part of submission (see above)
