Overview

Provision of overhaul services of diesel engines for the Joe Gqabi District Municipality for a period of three years. Suitable bidders are qualified service providers with diesel-engine overhaul capability, OEM/spares supply, and a project lead with relevant technical qualifications and experience (e.g., NQF6 or equivalent) who can manage multiple engine overhauls under OEM/SANS standards.

Requirements

• CSD registration and SARS tax compliance; provide PIN/TCS as applicable; proof to claim specific goals.
• Returnable qualifications: certified trade test certificates for the diesel mechanic; certified NQF6 or equivalent for the project leader; CVs for key personnel.
• Demonstrated experience: evidence of prior overhaul projects (references and performance assessment forms).
• Compliance with SCM policies, signing requirements, and acceptance of the 80/20 evaluation framework (price + specific goals).
• Use of OEM or OEM-approved parts; adherence to OEM/SANS standards; warranty of 6 months or 1000 operating hours.
• Delivery to municipal depots, with accompanying delivery note, test/commissioning report, and parts list; adequate stock of critical spares.
• Insurance coverage and provision of a bid security/performance security as required; valid bid for 120 days.
