Overview

Procurement of installation of a 15KW grid-tied PV solar system at Majengo Primary School; open tender for works. Eligible bidders are electrical/solar contractors with a minimum NCA 8 license, prequalified with NG-CDF MVita in the relevant category, and able to provide the required technical and financial qualifications (see MAJENGO PRI for details).

Requirements

• Mandatory documents: copies of Business/Incorporation certificate, Tax Compliance certificate, PIN certificate; signed Tender/Quotation forms; disclosure of interest; independent quotation determination; self-declaration; AGPO certificate if applicable; CR12; IDs of shareholders; NCA 8 certificate; valid business permit.
• Qualifications: be prequalified with NG-CDF MVita in the relevant category (NCA 8+); similar works experience in the last 2 years; CVs for professional/technical personnel; proof of financial capacity.
• Compliance: no canvassing; detailed evaluation criteria in the tender document.
• Documentation handling: serialization and binding of documents; sign and stamp all forms.
• Other: provide evidence of financial resources; competitive but compliant bid; currency in Kenyan Shillings; prices must be net of taxes and valid for 120 days from closing.

• Submission method: sealed envelope marked with the tender number (NG-CDF/MVITA/SOLARPANELS/016/2025-2026) and delivered to the NG-CDF MVITA Tender Box (first-floor office) or sent to P.O. Box 43258-80100, Mombasa.
• Documents to submit: completed RFQ/tender forms, all mandatory qualifications, financial capacity documents, and Bills of Quantities; tender documents may be downloaded from tenders.go.ke or obtained for Kshs 1000 (nonrefundable) and must be signed/stamped by the Fund Account Manager before submission (MAJENGO PRI).
• Registrations/pre-qualifications: must be prequalified with NG-CDF MVITA; NCA 8 certificate; AGPO certificate if applicable; Tax/Trading licenses; country/origin documentation as applicable (MAJENGO PRI).
