READVERTISEMENT : REQUEST FOR QUOTATIONS - SECURITY EQUIPMENT

Overview

READVERTISEMENT: RFQ for SECURITY EQUIPMENT for the Malawi Prison Service. Local Malawian suppliers with valid business registration, VAT registration, withholding tax exemption (where applicable) and tax clearance are invited to quote for security hardware and related items (e.g., rechargeable shock sticks, holsters, gloves, leg/arm pads, oils, cleaning cloths, and VHF radios) under Government of Malawi Local Purchase Order terms.

Requirements

• Local suppliers registered in Malawi with: Business Registration, VAT Certificate, Withholding Tax Exemption Certificate (if applicable), Tax Clearance Certificate (PPDA reference optional).
• Prices must be fixed for 30-day quotation validity; delivery within 7 days from order; warranty of 12 months.
• Quotations must be sealed and include Section B and C, acceptance of terms, and be based on the RFQ terms (EXW/ CIP delivery terms as specified).
• Evaluation: responsive and technically compliant quotations will be ranked by price; contract awarded to the lowest priced quotation by item or total via Local Purchase Order.
• Required attachments in Section B: Section C completed; business registration; PPDA; VAT certificate; Withholding Tax Exemption certificate; Tax Clearance; list of recent Government contracts.

How to Apply

• Submission deadline: 10:00 on 30/10/2026; method: sealed envelopes addressed to the IPC Chairman, Prison Headquarters, P.O. Box 28, Zomba (READVERTISEMENT : REQUEST FOR QUOTATIONS - SECURITY EQUIPMENT).
• Documents to submit: Section B and Section C; copies of Business Registration, PPDA, VAT, Withholding Tax Exemption, Tax Clearance; list of recent Government contracts; price schedule by item (Section C).
• Delivery point: Prison Headquarters (delivery terms per Section A for goods, EXW or CIP as applicable).
• Pre-qualification/registrations: Local Malawi supplier requirements (business, VAT, tax clearances) as stated in the RFQ; PPDA reference appears in Section B.
