Overview

Procurement of refurbishment works for Driefontein Wastewater Treatment Works by Johannesburg Water (construction contract). Suitable bidders are construction contractors with building repairs capability, SHE compliance, and registrations (CIDB GB 1+; CSD supplier number; tax clearance; BBBEE), able to submit via the e-tender portal. Requirements

• CIDB grade GB 1 or higher; all work must comply with applicable construction standards.
• Central Supplier Database (CSD) registration with a supplier number; proof required.
• Original Tax Clearance Certificate; BBBEE certificate or sworn affidavit (compulsory).
• Returnable documents: MBD 3.1 (Pricing Schedule), MBD 4 (Declaration of Interest), MBD 6.1 (Preference Points Form), MBD 8 (Declaration of SCM Practices), MBD 9 (Certificate of Independent Bid Determination); quotes must be on PDF and on company letterhead; JV agreements if applicable.
• Quotes must include all taxes; brand names must be used where required; quotes submitted after the deadline will be rejected.
• Not in the service of the state; not blacklisted; not tender defaulters; compliant with protection of personal information disclosures as relevant.
• Safety, health and environmental (SHE) requirements as per the attached Minimum SHE Requirements document, including baseline risk assessment, induction, risk assessments, safety file, PPE, medicals, toolbox talks, and competent appointments (e.g., Construction Supervisor, Safety Officer) (document: Minimum SHE Requirements for Construction Related RFQ projects).
• Price must be firm; delivery to specified site; 3-month project guarantee is expected.
