Overview

Refurbishment of Coal Silos units 1-6 for a 3-year period at Tutuka Power Station. This is a Eskom construction tender for mechanical/civil refurbishment at Tutuka, Standerton area, Mpumalanga. Requirements

• Quality Management: ISO 9001 QMS certification or equivalent documented evidence of a compliant QMS (Option 1 in the tender’s QA sections).
• OHS/SHE compliance: adherence to Eskom SHE rules, OHS Act, and related requirements; formal acknowledgement (Annexure B) of Eskom SHE/OHS obligations.
• Health, Safety and Environmental governance: main contractor must manage and supervise subcontractors for OHS/SHE compliance; allowed to use subcontractors but not 100% sub-contracting of the scope.
• B-BBEE and SDL&I: provide B-BBEE documentation or appropriate evidence; complete SDL&I Undertaking by contract award.
• Regulatory/Professional prerequisites: comply with National Treasury instructions, PPPFA, CIDB requirements, COIDA, and other applicable legislation; proof of safety, health, environment and quality arrangements (SHEQ) as part of the bid.
• Documentation deliverables: submit mandatory tender returnables, including the Eskom SHE Acknowledgement (Annexure B) and E-Tendering training acknowledgement (Annexure K); provide CIDB/CSD details as required; ensure pricing and related schedules are complete and accurate.
• QA deliverables: be prepared to supply a Quality Control Plan/ITP/QCP per scope (as per ISO 9001 expectations in the tender documents).
