Overview

Procurement of refurbishment works for HP/LP heaters, DA/DST, feed water, soot blower, auxiliary steam range, FRF, BFPT, MOT and stator water safety valves during planned outages at Duvha Power Station under an NEC3 ECC3 contract. Bidders should be construction/engineering contractors with experience in boiler/turbine valve refurbishments, plant shutdowns and heavy engineering, able to work to Eskom safety and project-management standards.

Requirements

• Compliance with Eskom Safety Health Environmental Specification for Contractors (SAS0012, Rev 10).
• Adherence to Eskom OHS/Contractor management standards, including Life Saving Rules and incident management (e.g., 32-726; 32-95; 240-62196227).
• Criminal clearance checks for contractors accessing power stations (Gx Division briefing note).
• Completion and acceptance of OHS documentation (Occupational Health and Safety Act Section 37(2) Agreement; Annex B acknowledgments).
• E-tendering training acknowledgement and proper bid submission via Eskom's eTender process; CIDB registration and tax clearance where applicable.
• Site-specific scope and risks defined in Works Information for boiler/turbine safety valves at Duvha (see 382-170469).
• Potential changes to outages or Works Information; price adjustments and legal compliance indicated in contract data (NEC ECC3).
