Overview

Procurement of the Refurbishment of Kriel PS Generator Circuit Breaker (GCB) Compressor Plant Control Circuit at Units 1 & 4 for 12 months. Open to qualified construction/engineering contractors with experience in power-plant electrical/control refurbishments, CIDB registration suitable for construction/refurbishment, and compliance with Eskom tender standards (OHS, ISO 9001-related quality management, local content, and integrity requirements).

Requirements

• Mandatory attendance at compulsory clarification meeting and site visit.
• Compliance with Eskom Standard Conditions of Tender and associated returnables (SBD forms, Annexures A–J) and the use of Eskom e-tendering for submission.
• CIDB registration appropriate to the scope and project size; valid tax clearance; and adherence to Eskom PAYE/partner qualification processes (see Supplier Evaluation Pack).
• Quality and safety: ISO 9001-based supplier quality management, pre/post-contract Quality Plans (QCP/ITP), and Eskom OHS/SHE requirements (high-risk activities).
• Integrity: submission of Eskom Supplier Integrity Pact and Certificate of Independent Bid Determination (SBD 9).
• Local content declarations if applicable, and returnables as listed (Cat 3).
• Environmental and safety prerequisites as per the project’s OHS and environmental forms (RER 0371) and related policies.
• Tender validity: 90 days from closing date.
